“8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. 9. Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. 10. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. 11. Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.”

When was the last time you read your Bible? The Word of God is a light for direction in this dark world we live in. Psalm 119:105 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” How do you find your stand in the early morning hours? Once your set in your stand, in the early morning, do you use a light to arrange all of your equipment? When its dark outside a light is necessary to not only find your way, but also get all of your equipment in order before the sun comes up. The Word of God is telling us we need the scriptures to find our way in this sin cursed world of darkness. Do you spend time reading your Bible every day? God wants to help us through our struggles of life. Being a born again Christian doesn’t mean life is easy, but it does mean God will guide us through every difficulty of life. Why would a hunter walk through the woods without a light? It doesn’t make much sense! Why are Christians living their lives without reading the Bible? God is here to guide you through everything! Don’t try doing it yourself! Your going to step on a lot of sticks and finding your stand may be nearly impossible!
